About Dan Osborn

Osborn's #282 is a rookie card, and it pictures him in the White Sox uniform, the only major league uniform he wore. The right-hander was born on June 19, 1946, and was listed at 6 feet 2 inches and 195 pounds.

Danny Leon Osborn, known as Ozzie, was a right-handed pitcher from Springfield, Missouri, who reached the majors with the Chicago White Sox in 1975. He made his debut on April 26 and pitched through September 23, working 24 games, all in relief, for a 3-0 record and a 4.50 ERA. He struck out 38 batters in 58 innings. That was his only major league season. On December 12, 1975, the White Sox traded him with Ken Henderson and Dick Ruthven to the Atlanta Braves for Ralph Garr and Larvell Blanks.
