The story on this card

Card #67 in the Father & Son subset pairs Ray Boone, pictured with the Detroit Tigers, and his son Bob Boone, pictured with the Philadelphia Phillies. Bob made his first All-Star team in 1976, playing 121 games and hitting .271 with 54 RBI for the Phillies. He went 2-for-7 in their NLCS loss to the Reds. Ray had tied Jackie Jensen for the American League RBI lead with 116 in 1955 while with Detroit. The Boones were the first family to send three generations to the majors, with Bob's sons Bret and Aaron following.

Ray Boone - Third baseman and first baseman who played for Detroit in the 1950s, a two-time All-Star and 1955 AL RBI co-leader, later a longtime Red Sox scout and patriarch of the first three-generation major-league family. Bob Boone was a defensive catcher for the Phillies, Angels and Royals from 1972 to 1990. A four-time All-Star with seven Gold Gloves, he caught for the 1980 World Series champions, and he later managed Kansas City and Cincinnati.
