The story on this card

Both Colemans were pitchers, and #68 in the Father & Son subset shows Joe Coleman with the Baltimore Orioles, where he went 13-17 with a 3.50 ERA in 1954, beside Joe Coleman, Jr. with the Detroit Tigers. The father had pitched in the 1948 All-Star Game, and the son was chosen for the 1972 game, making them the first father and son picked to pitch in an All-Star Game. In 1976 the younger Coleman started 12 games for Detroit, was bought by the Chicago Cubs on waivers on June 8 and finished the year 4-13 with a 4.45 ERA.

Joe Coleman was a right-handed pitcher for the Athletics, Orioles and Tigers from 1942 to 1955, an All-Star in 1948 and a 13-game winner for the 1954 Orioles. His son, also Joe Coleman, pitched in the majors from 1965 to 1979. Joe Coleman was the first amateur draft pick to reach the majors, debuting with the Washington Senators at eighteen in 1965. He won 20 games for Detroit in 1971 and a career-high 23 in 1973.
