Mike Kekich was a left-handed pitcher who worked parts of nine major league seasons between 1965 and 1977. Born Michael Dennis Kekich in San Diego on April 2, 1945, he came up with the Los Angeles Dodgers and debuted on June 9, 1965. He pitched five games that summer, then returned in 1968 to start twenty of his twenty-five games for the Dodgers, going 2-10 and throwing a shutout. New York had him from 1969 until he was traded to the Cleveland Indians in 1973. He pitched in Japan for the Nippon-Ham Fighters in 1974, resurfaced with the Texas Rangers in 1975, and closed out in relief for the expansion Seattle Mariners in 1977.
