The story on this card

Bob Keegan's 1957 no-hitter is the moment #436 turns back to. On August 20, 1957, the 37-year-old White Sox right-hander pitched a complete-game no-hitter against the Washington Senators in the second game of a twi-night doubleheader, winning 6-0 after Chicago scored five early runs. He walked two and struck out one, and catcher Sherman Lollar put his pitch count at about 85. It was the first White Sox no-hitter since Bill Dietrich's on June 1, 1937. Keegan finished 1957 at 10-8 in 142 2/3 innings. The card is part of the Turn Back the Clock subset of the 1977 Topps set.

Bob Keegan - Rochester right-hander who reached the majors at 32, made the 1954 All-Star team, and threw a no-hitter for the White Sox in 1957. Nicknamed Smiley, he went 40-36 in six seasons.
