About Eddie Johnson

A Chicago Westinghouse product who starred at Illinois — where his 1979 game-winner toppled Magic Johnson's undefeated, top-ranked Michigan State — Eddie Johnson lasted until the second round of the 1981 Draft, going 29th overall to the Kansas City Kings, and made the pick look like larceny. The smooth-shooting 6'7" forward piled up 19,202 points across 17 seasons with the Kings, Suns, SuperSonics, Hornets, Pacers, and Rockets, the second-most ever by a player never chosen for an All-Star Game. A mid-career issue rather than a rookie card, this one catches him after his 1987 move from Sacramento to Phoenix — and in the very 1988-89 season it hit packs, he poured in 21.5 points a game off the bench to win NBA Sixth Man of the Year. He saved one last dagger for Houston, burying a buzzer-beating three to sink Utah in Game 4 of the 1997 Western Conference Finals.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Snapshot 2026-08-18. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. The graders do not break out the stickers, so sticker pages carry no table.
