About Tom Chambers

A high-flying scorer in a power forward's frame, Tom Chambers came out of the University of Utah as the eighth pick of the 1981 draft, landing with the San Diego Clippers. Traded to Seattle in 1983, he blossomed into an All-Star and stole the show at the 1987 All-Star Game in his home arena, pouring in 34 points for MVP honors. In 1988 he made history as the NBA's first unrestricted free agent, signing with Phoenix — and this Fleer issue, no rookie card but his first-season look in Suns purple, catches him at the perfect moment. He averaged 25.7 points with All-NBA Second Team honors in 1988-89, threw down his legendary dunk over Mark Jackson that January, and later hung 60 on his old Sonics club. Four All-Star nods, 20,049 career points, and a Suns Ring of Honor spot in 1999 cap the résumé.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Snapshot 2026-08-18. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. The graders do not break out the stickers, so sticker pages carry no table.
