About the Set
The 1953 Topps set is an iconic treasure trove bursting with baseball legends like Jackie Robinson, Satchel Paige, Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle. Overall this is a lovely VG+ condition set with a total of 85 graded cards, including all graded HOF cards and 32 on-card autographs. The raw cards average VG, with some better and some less.

Once again, this is the nicest overall 1953 Topps Set we've broken yet! The Mantle presents beautifully with nice, wide borders and crystal-clear registration inside of it's fresh SGC 5 slab. Also included in newer tuxes are an SGC 3 example of Willie Mays and an even sharper SGC 4 #1 Jackie Robinson.

The single-printed high-number cards of the 1953 Topps set are getting tougher to find. This break features several sharp high-number RCs including that of Jim Gilliam, Johnny Podres, Harvey Haddix & set-bookend Milt Bolling.

All 23 cards of HOF players included in the set are graded examples. The biggest hits of the break are:
  • SGC 5 #82 Mickey Mantle
  • SGC 3 #244 Willie Mays
  • SGC 4 #1 Jackie Robinson
  • PSA 4 #220 Satchel Paige
  • SGC 3 #104 Yogi Berra
  • SGC 4 #76 Pee Wee Reese
  • SGC 5 #54 Bob Feller
  • PSA 4 #278 Willy Miranda RC

How it Works
For those not familiar with breaks, participants purchase a spot which guarantees them one random card from the set. After we fill the list of participants and payments are collected, the list will be randomized and each spot will be assigned a random card from the set. A spot will hit the Mickey Mantle, a spot will hit the Jackie Robinson, ect.

The randomizer will use 2 dice, with a 9 roll minimum, and will be performed by a trusted video runner live. The video recording and link to the randomizer results will also be posted immediately afterwards. We always schedule randomizer runs at least 24 hours in advance, and livestream them on both YouTube and in our Facebook Group. Once the break fills, expect an email from us with the break date and time.

Skunk Protection
What's Skunk Protection? All spots that hit raw cards in the main break will be entered into a separate, second randomizer run that will run the day after the main break.

Fifteen spots will win additional prizes in the Skunk Production draw for this break. Specifically:
  • The top spot will be awarded the below JSA Authenticated Sandy Koufax Autographed Baseball!
      • The ball has a JSA Authentication sticker on the bottom (Y77695), and will ship inside a new display cube.
JSA Authenticated Sandy Koufax Autographed Baseball
  • Spot two will receive a PSA 10 1994 Bowman's Best card of Derek Jeter & Barry Larkin
    • Both of these HOF players are new to our breaks. At just 21 years young, it's also the latest card we've ever featured!
  • Spot three will test their luck again, with a free spot in our upcoming 1954 Topps Complete Set Break
    • Expect it to go live later this month!
  • And finally, spots 4-15 will each be awarded $50 store credit to use on anything listed on the site: singles, supplies or future breaks
