1958 Topps #216 St. Louis Cardinals Team
One of the 16 team cards — 1958 was the first year Topps printed checklists on team-card backs.

About the 1958 St. Louis Cardinals
The St. Louis Cardinals finished second in the National League in 1957 at 87-67, powered by the timeless Stan Musial. That season the veteran 'Stan the Man' hit .351 to win the National League batting title - one of seven he collected across a 22-year career spent entirely in St. Louis. A perennial MVP contender and one of the greatest hitters the game has known, Musial remained the franchise's cornerstone and biggest draw heading into 1958. Card #216 carries a series checklist on its reverse, reflecting Topps's new 1958 practice of printing checklists on the backs of team cards.
