1967 Topps #26 Bob Priddy
Traded to Washington for pitcher Mike McCormick after the 1966 season.

About Bob Priddy
San Francisco sent Priddy to Washington in an offseason trade for left-hander Mike McCormick, and this card, from the set's first print series, shows him with the Senators. One printing adds a short note of that trade beneath the biography and identifies him with Washington, while the other card omits the note and still lists him with San Francisco. Priddy started eight of his 46 appearances for the Senators, twice beating the pennant-bound Red Sox, and finished 3-7 with a 3.44 ERA and four saves.
Robert Simpson Priddy, a right-handed pitcher out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, signed with his hometown Pirates in 1959 and spent thirteen years in professional baseball. He reached the majors in September 1962 and worked in relief and as an occasional starter across parts of nine big-league seasons for six clubs: the Pirates, Giants, Senators, White Sox, Angels, and Braves. His busiest seasons came in 1967 with Washington, where he made a career-high 46 appearances, and in 1968 with Chicago, where he logged a career-high 114 innings and 18 starts. Priddy's path included several notable trades, among them a 1965 deal that sent him to the Giants for catcher Del Crandall, a later swap with Washington that brought pitcher Mike McCormick back to San Francisco, and a 1969 move to Atlanta in a package that also included knuckleballer Hoyt Wilhelm. He finished his career with the Braves in 1971, closing out with a 24-38 record, a 4.00 ERA, and 18 saves over 249 games. Priddy died in 2023 at age 83.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Data as of 2026-09-04. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. Where a grader registers a variation separately its population is listed under that variation; SGC slabs whose label names no variation are listed as not designated, while PSA slabs whose label names no variation are counted under 26a - With Trade Statement. PSA registers a row for every one of the 624 states; SGC lists no separate row for the #149 white-streak state.

Frequently asked questions
What is the 1967 Topps #26 card?
It is card #26 of the 609-card 1967 Topps Baseball set, picturing Bob Priddy of the Washington Senators.
Why do the two states of #26 list different teams?
Bob Priddy and Mike McCormick (#86) were swapped in December 1966. Each card exists with and without the trade statement, and the printing without it still lists the old club - so #26 reads Washington on the base card and San Francisco on the no-trade-statement state.
Does 1967 Topps #26 have variations?
Yes. Two states are catalogued and tracked individually: 26a - With Trade Statement (This printing adds a short note of the trade beneath the biography and lists Priddy with Washington) and 26b - No Trade Statement (This printing omits the trade note and still lists Priddy with San Francisco). Owning any one of them fills the #26 slot; the master set counts each state.
How many cards are in the 1967 Topps Baseball set?
609 cards, tracked as 624 collectible states. Numbers run from 1 to 609 without a gap - no number was skipped and none was used twice - and 15 cards carry catalogued print variations that the master set counts separately.
