The story on this card
Card #337 puts the 1973 center fielders of both leagues together in the All-Stars subset (#331-339). Amos Otis is printed with the Kansas City Royals and Cesar Cedeno with the Houston Astros. Otis hit .300 with 26 home runs and 93 RBI and won a Gold Glove. Cedeno batted .320 for the second straight year, second in the National League to Pete Rose, with 25 home runs and 56 stolen bases. Fans voted him an All-Star Game starter. The subset's backs carry no statistics and form a picture puzzle of Bobby Bonds.
Amos Otis - Kansas City Royals center fielder for most of the 1970s, a five-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove winner known for his speed in the outfield. Cesar Cedeno - Center fielder for the Astros, Reds, Cardinals and Dodgers from 1970 to 1986. He joined the 20-homer, 50-steal club three years running from 1972 to 1974, won five straight Gold Gloves and holds the Astros career stolen base record.
