1986-87 Fleer #126 Kevin Willis

About Kevin Willis
A 7-foot power forward/center out of Michigan State, Kevin Willis was drafted 11th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in 1984 and went on to one of the longest careers in NBA history - 21 seasons for eight franchises (Hawks, Heat, Warriors, Rockets, Raptors, Nuggets, Spurs, Mavericks), spanning 1984 to 2007. This is his rookie card. A relentless rebounder, Willis peaked in 1991-92 with the Hawks, averaging 18.3 points and 15.5 rebounds a game to earn his lone All-Star selection and All-NBA Third Team honors that season. He won an NBA championship with the San Antonio Spurs in 2003 and, when he returned for a final stint with Dallas in 2007, became the oldest player in NBA history at age 44. He retired with career averages of 12.1 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
