The story on this card
Card 145 is part of the 1963 Topps World Series subset, recapping Game 4 of the 1962 Fall Classic between the Giants and Yankees at Yankee Stadium. After the Yankees tied the score at 2-2 in the sixth inning, Giants second baseman Chuck Hiller came up with the bases loaded in the seventh and hit a grand slam off reliever Marshall Bridges, the first grand slam by a National Leaguer in World Series history. The blast broke the tie and powered San Francisco to a 7-3 win that evened the Series at two games apiece. The card front pictures Hiller himself, the man who delivered the historic swing. This card belongs to Topps' second print series for the year.
