The story on this card
This card recalls Game 5 of the 1962 World Series, played October 10 at Yankee Stadium with the series tied two games apiece. San Francisco's Jose Pagan drove in a third-inning run and homered in the fifth to give the Giants a 2-1 lead, but two Jack Sanford wild pitches let the Yankees tie the game twice. In the eighth, Bobby Richardson and Tony Kubek singled before Tom Tresh crushed a three-run homer that put New York ahead for good in a 5-3 win, sending the series back to San Francisco with the Yankees leading three games to two.
