The story on this card

Card #242 in the 1967 Topps set is a League Leaders subset card recapping the National League RBI race from the 1966 season, part of print series 3. Hank Aaron topped the league driving in 127 runs for the Atlanta Braves. Roberto Clemente of the Pittsburgh Pirates followed, batting in 119 runs on his way to the 1966 NL Most Valuable Player award. Richie Allen of the Philadelphia Phillies rounded out the trio with 110 RBI, part of a season in which he also led the league in slugging percentage. The card places all three sluggers together under the League Leaders banner.

Hank Aaron was the Braves' right fielder and one of the greatest hitters in history, a 25-time All-Star who broke Babe Ruth's home run record in 1974 on his way to 755 career homers. Pittsburgh's right fielder for eighteen seasons, Roberto Clemente won four National League batting titles and twelve straight Gold Gloves, was the 1966 NL Most Valuable Player and the 1971 World Series MVP, and died flying earthquake relief in 1972. Richie Allen - Philadelphia's young slugger, the 1964 National League Rookie of the Year and the 1972 American League Most Valuable Player with the White Sox, a seven-time All-Star who took his position in a batting helmet and became Crash.
