He struck out 269 batters for Fresno before spending three seasons with Triple-A Phoenix.

Tidrow made the Indians out of spring training in 1972 and debuted April 18. He won his first game in his second start, against Baltimore, threw his first complete game against the Yankees on May 17, and pitched shutouts on July 15 and in consecutive 1-0 games on July 31 and August 4. His 14-15 record came with a 2.77 ERA. Card #506, from the fourth series, is Tidrow's rookie card, an Indians Rookie Stars card shared with Terry Ley and Jim Moyer.
