The story on this card

Game 4 of the 1973 World Series, played October 17 at Shea Stadium, went to the Mets 6-1 and evened the Series at two games each. Rusty Staub put it away early with a three-run homer to left-center off Oakland starter Ken Holtzman, who did not last the first inning. Staub added a two-run single off reliever Blue Moon Odom in a three-run fourth. Jon Matlack pitched eight innings of three-hit ball for the win, and Ray Sadecki worked the ninth for the save. Mike Andrews, reinstated by Commissioner Bowie Kuhn after Charlie Finley tried to remove him, pinch-hit in the eighth to a standing ovation and grounded out in his last major league at-bat. Topps pictured Ray Fosse and Staub on #475. The World Series subset runs #472-479, with #472-478 covering Games 1 through 7.
