The story on this card

Game 5 of the 1973 World Series, on October 18 at Shea Stadium, was a 2-0 Mets shutout that put them one win from the title. Jerry Koosman and Vida Blue both pitched well. John Milner drove in the first run with a second-inning single, and in the sixth Don Hahn tripled to center field to score Jerry Grote with the second. Grote caught every inning of every Mets postseason game that year. Koosman earned the win and Tug McGraw the save. The Mets then lost both games in Oakland. Topps put Ray Fosse, Grote and Cleon Jones together on #476 in the World Series subset (#472-479) of the 1974 set. The crowd at Shea was 54,817, and the game took 2 hours 39 minutes.
