1988-89 Fleer #62 Michael Cage

About Michael Cage
Michael Cage put San Diego State on the map before the NBA came calling — he left as the Aztecs' all-time rebounding leader and a two-time WAC Player of the Year, going 14th overall to the Clippers in the 1984 Draft. The 6'9" power forward's signature moment came in the 1987-88 finale: needing 28 rebounds to overtake Charles Oakley for the league rebounding title, he grabbed 30, finishing at 13.0 per game. Weeks later, during the 1988 draft, the Clippers dealt him to Seattle for Gary Grant and a future first-rounder — which is why this Fleer card, not a rookie card, shows the board-crashing big man in Sonics colors. Nicknamed "Windexman" for the way he cleaned the glass, Cage anchored Seattle's frontcourt for six seasons, including the 1993 squad that fell one game shy of the Finals. Over 15 seasons and 1,140 games with five franchises, he pulled down 8,646 rebounds before retiring in 2000.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Snapshot 2026-08-18. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. The graders do not break out the stickers, so sticker pages carry no table.
