Born 1924 in Spartanburg, SC (d. 2015), Al Rosen was a right-handed third baseman who debuted in 1947 and played 10 major-league seasons. He batted .285 with 1,063 hits, 192 home runs, 717 RBI, and 39 stolen bases over 1,044 games.
