About Phil Rizzuto

Born 1917 in Brooklyn, NY (d. 2007), Phil Rizzuto was a right-handed shortstop who debuted in 1941 and played 13 major-league seasons. He batted .273 with 1,588 hits, 38 home runs, 563 RBI, and 149 stolen bases over 1,661 games. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
