About Billy Herman

Born 1909 in New Albany, IN (d. 1992), Billy Herman was a coach and former second baseman who debuted in 1931 and played 15 major-league seasons. He batted .304 with 2,345 hits, 47 home runs, 839 RBI, and 67 stolen bases over 1,922 games. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
