Born 1931 in Westfield, AL, Willie Mays was a right-handed outfielder who debuted in 1951 and played 22 major-league seasons. He batted .302 with 3,283 hits, 660 home runs, 1,903 RBI, and 338 stolen bases over 2,992 games. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
