Eddie Leon was a middle infielder who split his time between shortstop and second base over eight seasons, 1968 to 1975, with the Indians, White Sox and Yankees. Born in Tucson, Arizona, of Mexican American descent, he debuted on September 9, 1968, and spent his first five seasons in Cleveland before two with Chicago. In 601 games he hit .236 with 24 home runs. He drove in 159 runs, drew 156 walks and fielded .974 across the two positions. The Yankees released him on May 5, 1975, after the only game he played for them.
