About this card
Card #125 is Dominique Wilkins's card in the twelve-card All-Star subset (#120–131) that runs at the end of the 1988-89 Fleer set, ahead of the #132 checklist — Fleer's first All-Star subset. The same player appears in this set on base card #5 and Sticker #11.
About Dominique Wilkins
By the time this card hit packs, Dominique Wilkins was already 'The Human Highlight Film,' the nickname earned for the most acrobatic dunking the NBA had ever seen. A star at Georgia, he went third overall to the Utah Jazz in the 1982 draft, but Utah shipped him to Atlanta for John Drew, Freeman Williams, and $1 million — now remembered among the most lopsided trades in league history. The Hall of Fame small forward (Class of 2006) gave the Hawks twelve seasons (1982-94), winning the 1985-86 scoring title at 30.3 points per game, earning nine All-Star nods, seven All-NBA selections, and Slam Dunk Contest crowns in 1985 and 1990. Later stops with the Clippers, Celtics, Spurs, and Magic pushed his career total to 26,668 points, and in 2021 he made the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team. Not a rookie card — 'Nique was mid-prime here, pouring in 26.2 a night in 1988-89.

Cards #120-131: Fleer's own twelve-card All-Star Team subset - its first - in a dedicated design, headlined by Michael Jordan #120.
