1988-89 Fleer #2 Cliff Levingston

About Cliff Levingston
Card #2 in 1988-89 Fleer catches Cliff "Good News" Levingston in the heart of his Atlanta run — not a rookie card, but a nice snapshot of one of the era's steadiest frontcourt role players. Half of Wichita State's famed "Bookend Forwards" alongside Antoine Carr, Levingston left after his junior year and went ninth overall to Detroit in the 1982 draft; the Pistons shipped him to Atlanta in 1984, where the 6-8 power forward spent six seasons (1984-90) and posted a career-best 10.0 points per game in 1987-88. The nickname "Good News" came from his relentlessly upbeat, friendly demeanor, and Hawks fans saw it — plus one of the NBA's oddest footnotes: in 1986 he legally re-entered a game after fouling out when injuries and ejections left Atlanta with only four players. He later grabbed back-to-back rings with the 1991 and 1992 Bulls, closing an 11-year NBA career with 5,888 points and 4,307 rebounds. Wichita State retired his No. 54.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Snapshot 2026-08-18. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. The graders do not break out the stickers, so sticker pages carry no table.
