1988-89 Fleer #98 Reggie Theus

About Reggie Theus
A silky 6'6" guard from UNLV, where he ran Jerry Tarkanian's Runnin' Rebels to the 1977 Final Four and later had his No. 23 retired, Reggie Theus went ninth overall to Chicago in the 1978 NBA Draft. He made the 1978-79 All-Rookie First Team, finished runner-up for Rookie of the Year, and earned All-Star nods in 1981 and 1983, peaking at 23.8 points per game in 1982-83. Chicago knew him as "Rush Street Reggie," a nod to the apartment he kept on that nightlife strip and his busy social calendar. His 1984 trade to the Kings helped clear the Bulls' backcourt for Michael Jordan; a June 1988 deal brought him to Atlanta, where Fleer catches him here — 15.8 points a night for a 52-30 Hawks squad beside Dominique Wilkins, Doc Rivers, and Moses Malone. Not a rookie card — this was his eleventh season — it closes out a 13-year NBA run of 19,015 points and 6,453 assists; Theus later coached the Sacramento Kings.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Snapshot 2026-08-18. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. The graders do not break out the stickers, so sticker pages carry no table.
