Born 1920 in Hartford, AL (d. 1999), Early Wynn was a right-handed pitcher who debuted in 1939 and played 23 major-league seasons. He went 300-244 with a 3.54 ERA and 2,334 strikeouts across 691 appearances. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
