The story on this card

Talton's second and final major league season came entirely with the Kansas City Athletics, where he appeared in 46 games, mostly off the bench, batting .254 with 5 RBI. He shares his 1967 Topps card, a high number in the final print series, with fellow Athletics rookie Ramon Webster as part of a multi-player Kansas City Athletics Rookie Stars subset -- a recognized rookie card for both players. A left-handed hitting catcher/first baseman out of East Carolina University, Talton spent eight minor league seasons before reaching Kansas City, where he thrived as a pinch hitter.

In his rookie season with the Kansas City Athletics, Webster won the starting first base job over Ken Harrelson, batting .256 with 11 home runs and 51 RBI in 122 games. This 1967 Topps card (#603) is a high-number Rookie Stars subset issue from the set's seventh print series, shared with fellow rookie Tim Talton. Panamanian-born first baseman who won the Kansas City Athletics' starting job as a rookie, then later managed Panama's national team to a shared gold medal at the 1981 Bolivarian Games.
