The story on this card

Mills spent 1971 at Double-A Pawtucket, going 5-9 with a 3.76 ERA, after Boston sent him down out of spring training. His card #512 came in the fourth series, a Boston Red Sox Rookie Stars card shared with pitcher Mike Garman, and it is the rookie card for both men. Dick Mills, a Boston-born right-hander, pitched twice for the 1970 Red Sox, finishing 0-0 with a 2.45 ERA. He ended his playing career at Pawtucket in 1971 and later built the Pitching.com instruction business with his family.

Garman shares card #512 with Dick Mills in the Red Sox Rookie Stars subset, and it is the rookie card for both men. The card follows his 1969 debut, a win over the Yankees at Fenway on September 22, six days after his twentieth birthday. He finished that year 1-0 with a 4.38 ERA in two starts. Mike Garman was a right-handed reliever drafted third overall by Boston in 1967. He pitched for the Red Sox, Cardinals, Cubs, Dodgers and Expos from 1969 to 1978 and recorded 42 saves.
