The story on this card

Baltimore took a 2-0 lead in the 1971 World Series on October 11 at Memorial Stadium, after rain postponed the game from October 10. The Orioles beat Pittsburgh 11-3 on 14 hits, every one a single, and ran through six Pirate pitchers. Brooks Robinson had three hits and four RBI. Davey Johnson's two-run single in the fourth knocked out starter Bob Johnson, and Elrod Hendricks added a two-run single in the fifth. Jim Palmer pitched seven shutout innings and drew two bases-loaded walks for two RBI, the only time that happened in a World Series game. Richie Hebner hit a three-run homer off Palmer in the eighth. Topps 1972 #224 is the Game 2 card of the World Series subset, carries the Orioles and was printed in the second series.
