1986-87 Fleer #107 Terry Teagle

About Terry Teagle
Terry Michael Teagle was a 6'5" shooting guard and small forward out of Baylor University, where he was the 1980 Southwest Conference Player of the Year and a three-time All-SWC selection. The Houston Rockets took him 16th overall in the 1982 NBA Draft, and he went on to play 11 NBA seasons (1982-1993) for five franchises: the Rockets (1982-84), Detroit Pistons (1984-85), Golden State Warriors (1985-90) - his stop when this card was issued - Los Angeles Lakers (1990-92), and a brief return to Houston in 1993. A capable scorer off the bench, Teagle averaged 11.6 points per game for his career. He was never an All-Star and won no titles, but he owns a memorable footnote in league history: on April 15, 1991, as a Laker, Teagle scored on the pass that gave teammate Magic Johnson the assist breaking Oscar Robertson's all-time NBA record. He later played professionally in Italy and Argentina. This is his rookie card in the 1986-87 Fleer set.
