1955 Topps All-American #95 Red Cagle
His college football career lasted eight years.

About Red Cagle
Red Cagle put together one of the most remarkable careers in college football, playing eight varsity seasons during the 1920s. At Southwestern Louisiana he scored 235 points, a school record that stood until 1989, then entered West Point and became Army's signature runner from 1926 through 1929. A slashing halfback who averaged 6.4 yards a carry, Cagle made All-America teams in each of his last three seasons, was a unanimous pick in 1928, and captained the Cadets in 1929, breaking off runs of 75 and 65 yards against Yale in back-to-back years. He resigned from the academy in 1930 when his secret marriage came to light, spent five seasons with the New York Giants and Brooklyn's football Dodgers, co-owning the Brooklyn club for a time, and helped found the Touchdown Club of New York. The College Football Hall of Fame inducted him in 1954.
