About Hank Foldberg
Hank Foldberg anchored the ends on Army's greatest teams, playing for Earl Blaik at West Point from 1944 through 1946 after beginning his college career at Texas A&M. With Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis in the backfield, the Cadets never lost a game in his three seasons, winning national championships in 1944 and 1945 and finishing 9-0-1 in 1946, when a famous scoreless tie with Notre Dame at Yankee Stadium was the only blemish. Foldberg made first-team All-America in 1945 and was a consensus All-American at end in 1946, one of three Army consensus picks that fall alongside Blanchard and Davis. He played two pro seasons in the All-America Football Conference with the Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago Hornets, then came back to the college game as a coach, winning two Missouri Valley Conference titles at Wichita before serving as Texas A&M's head coach from 1962 to 1964.
