The story on this card

Dave McNally started Game 2 of the 1970 American League Championship Series on October 4 at Metropolitan Stadium and finished it, an 11-3 Baltimore win. He drove in a run himself with a fourth-inning single, after Boog Powell doubled in the first and Frank Robinson homered in the third. Harmon Killebrew and Tony Oliva answered with home runs in the Twins' half of the fourth. Baltimore then scored seven runs in the ninth, tying the postseason record for a ninth inning: among the hits, Powell doubled home two, Merv Rettenmund singled in another, and Davey Johnson hit a three-run homer off Luis Tiant. The win put the Orioles ahead two games to none. This is 1971 Topps #196, titled McNally Makes It Two Straight!, the Dave McNally card in the Playoffs subset (#195-202) of the second series and listed with the Baltimore Orioles.
