The story on this card

Card 139 marks the Cardinals' celebration of their 1964 World Series championship, a seven-game upset of the New York Yankees. Bob Gibson started three times, the last on two days' rest, and fanned 31 batters across the Series to earn MVP honors. Ken Boyer's grand slam erased a 3-0 deficit in Game 4, evening the Series at two games apiece, and Tim McCarver's tenth-inning three-run homer won Game 5. In the Game 7 finale at St. Louis, Lou Brock homered as the Cardinals built a 6-0 lead and Ken Boyer added a solo shot after Mickey Mantle's three-run homer; the Cardinals then held off ninth-inning homers by Clete Boyer and Phil Linz to close out St. Louis's seventh world championship.
