Cards #305-310 follow the 1969 World Series, the New York Mets over the Baltimore Orioles, game by game - Games 1 through 5 - and close with #310, the Mets' celebration.

The story on this card

Game 2 of the 1969 World Series, played October 12 at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore, went to the New York Mets 2-1 after Jerry Koosman carried a no-hitter through six innings. Donn Clendenon's home run in the fourth gave Koosman the lead. Paul Blair broke up the no-hit bid in the seventh with a single, stole second and scored on a Brooks Robinson single to tie it. The Mets won it in the ninth on singles by Ed Charles, Jerry Grote and Al Weis, Weis driving in Charles. Dave McNally took the loss, and Ron Taylor retired Brooks Robinson for the save after Koosman walked Frank Robinson and Boog Powell with two out. Baltimore had won the opener 4-1. This is Topps #306 in the 1970 World Series subset (#305-310), printed in the third series.
