Card #391 closes the 1960 Topps World Series subset (#385-391), Topps' first-ever run of cards devoted to a single Fall Classic. The front captures the champagne-soaked Dodgers clubhouse at Comiskey Park, with pitching coach Joe Becker doused in suds after Los Angeles beat the Chicago White Sox four games to two in the 1959 World Series. The clincher came in Game Six on October 8, a 9-3 win built on an 8-0 fourth inning, with pinch-hitter Chuck Essegian adding his second homer of the Series. Relief pitcher Larry Sherry finished all four Dodger victories, winning two and saving the other two, and was named Series MVP. It was Los Angeles's first World Series title, coming just one year after the transplanted Dodgers had finished seventh in their debut Coliseum season.
