The story on this card
Baltimore trailed 4-0 in Game 2 on October 11 at Riverfront Stadium after Lee May's two-run double, a Hal McRae squeeze bunt and a Bobby Tolan homer. Boog Powell hit a solo homer in the fourth, and the fifth inning decided the game. With one out, Reds starter Jim McGlothlin gave up successive singles to pinch-hitter Chico Salmon and Don Buford, and Paul Blair's single scored Salmon and chased McGlothlin. Milt Wilcox then allowed RBI singles to Powell and Brooks Robinson and a two-run double to Elrod Hendricks. Johnny Bench homered for Cincinnati in the sixth, but the Orioles won 6-5 to take a 2-0 Series lead. Card #328 in the 1971 Topps World Series subset features the Baltimore Orioles and was printed in the third series.
