The story on this card
Game 3 on October 13 at Memorial Stadium moved the Series to Baltimore, and the Orioles won 9-3 for a 3-0 lead. Brooks Robinson's bases-loaded double off Tony Cloninger gave them two first-inning runs, and Hal McRae and Dave Concepcion pulled Cincinnati within 2-1 in the second. Frank Robinson, who hit .306 with 25 home runs in 1970, answered with a third-inning home run. Don Buford homered in the fifth to make it 4-1, and Dave McNally's sixth-inning grand slam off Wayne Granger made it 8-1. McNally was the first pitcher to hit a World Series grand slam, and he went the distance. Card #329 in the World Series subset of the 1971 Topps set shows the Baltimore Orioles and came in the third series.
