The story on this card

Game 4 of the 1970 World Series, played October 14 at Memorial Stadium before 53,007, saved Cincinnati from a sweep. Baltimore led three games to none, and Gary Nolan gave up two-out RBI singles to Frank and Brooks Robinson in the third before rookie Don Gullett took over. Pete Rose homered in the fifth, and in the eighth Tony Perez walked and Johnny Bench singled off Jim Palmer. Eddie Watt relieved, and Lee May hit the first pitch he saw for a three-run homer and a 6-5 Reds win. Gullett and Clay Carroll pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and one unearned run, and the game ended Baltimore's 17-game winning streak. This is 1971 Topps #330, the Reds card of the World Series subset, printed in the third series.
