The story on this card

Card #93 in the first series of the 1971 set lists McRae with the Washington Senators, alongside Denny Riddleberger on a Rookie Stars card. In 1970 McRae pitched for Detroit, allowing 26 hits in 31 1/3 innings. He walked 25 and struck out 16. Right-handed reliever who pitched 22 games for the 1969-70 Detroit Tigers with a 3.15 ERA. He was included in the October 1970 trade that sent Denny McLain to Washington and spent the rest of his career in the minors.

Riddleberger spent all of 1971 with the Senators, who went 14-43 in games he pitched. An 11.12 ERA in April gave way to mostly mop-up work, and he ended the year 3-1 with a 3.23 ERA in 57 games, plus his only career save, on July 5 against Cleveland. Rookie Stars card #93 prints him with the Senators next to Norm McRae, also printed with Washington; it is Riddleberger's rookie card. Denny Riddleberger, a left-handed reliever from Clifton Forge, Virginia, pitched for the Senators in 1970-71 and the Indians in 1972, and finished with a 2.77 career ERA.
