Cards #375-440 were printed on two back stocks, white and gray. White is the scarcer of the two, and the difference is the tint of the cardboard on the reverse — it is a stock variation, not a design change, so both backs read identically.
About Bob Duliba
Bob Duliba broke into pro ball in 1952 with Class D Ozark, signed by Cardinals scouts after a snowy senior-year outing in which he struck out 18 of 21 batters. Three years in the Marine Corps interrupted his climb, but he returned to dominate Triple-A Omaha and earned a call-up on August 11, 1959, tossing two scoreless innings against the Giants. The stocky right-hander relieved for St. Louis in 1959-60 and 1962, then for the Angels, Red Sox, and Athletics through 1967, finishing 17-12 with a 3.47 ERA in 176 games, all in relief. His nickname traces to Peoria manager Whitey Kurowski, who started calling him "Ach" - short for the German exclamation "Ach du Lieber" - because, he said, it just fit "Duliba." Card #401 in the 1960 Topps set, showing him with St. Louis, is his recognized rookie card, issued in the high-number Series 5 print run on gray or scarcer white stock. He later taught history and coached baseball at Wyoming Area High School and Wilkes University.
